Organizational Coaching
It can be difficult for tweens to manage all of the things they have to keep up with and do—homework, classwork, teams, clubs, music lessons, free time, screen time, family time, notebooks, materials, chores and the like.
I work with tweens (and their parents) to develop personal organizational strategies for all of this stuff so that they can keep up with everything better to make life more enjoyable and do-able. School and home life can be more successful— and less stressful—with a bit of help during the tween years.
Writing Coach
My forté is as a writing coach. I help kids with all aspects of composition—planning, drafting, editing, revision, structure, audience, and voice.
*I also encourage and coach pairs or small friend-groups to form writers groups or partnerships. Contact me for more info about this opportunity.

Academic Tutoring
I can help students understand and practice other hard-to-get aspects of academics—including reading, math, science, and more. Sometimes kids need help with their homework, or there are some skills they just feel shaky about. Tweens may need a hand to stay on top of their learning and feel more confident at school. A little extra help can go a long way!
Flexible Approach
Every child is unique. I have a flexible approach when working with tweens based on an initial consultation with the parents identifying specific areas to address. As I get to know a child I may make suggestions regarding learning styles, gaps in skills or knowledge, suggestions for practicing, organization, etc. My goal is to empower children to be self-reliant and to build confidence in themselves.
